Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops have become more capable, acing our tests of cleaning and tackling various floor types. Choose vacuum bot that permit users to select between different types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the top models are compatible with your smartphone. Look for an app that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning options.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and alter the behavior of the S1.
When I tried the S1, it was able to locate our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It easily drove close to walls without colliding with them and even managed to cross raised room thresholds with no problem, although it sometimes was unable to navigate down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on the flat side against the floor, and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or rugs.
The docking station on the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and replenishes its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock adds an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1's water tank holds enough water for around twelve cleaning sessions before it has to be emptied, though this can vary based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating well. For this, you'll need to clean the dirty water tank regularly to keep it from becoming clogged. You will also need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to prevent them from getting clogged up with dust or dirt. But, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other combinations which require more effort to maintain.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a great choice for your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction and comes with many innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply moving the pad across it. Mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station if required.
This robot combination is simple to install and use, and has a clear interface that guides you through the procedure. It also comes with a hand vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are also two water tanks that can be automatically filled or empty. It also comes with a variety of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, with strong suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs at my home (which you can alleviate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping feature is pretty good as well, with two spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub the floors instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush ensure an efficient, customized clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It works equally well on hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our tests' most filthy areas well, and eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically extends to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that run along baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble, navigating small spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can move from one area to another without reversing direction it is a useful feature for larger homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than the ones of other competitors, and leaves a huge margin over obstacles. This could lead to missing spots.

The interface of the app is simple and easy to use. It should be easy to use for both novices and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings, adjust mopping and suction power settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You will require a stable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of removing debris and dirt, but it can't always get every last piece of dust. It is important to clean regularly, once a week. This is especially important for dust that collects in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed to accomplish exactly that. It is simple to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's more expensive S-series models. It includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves price by eliminating mopping functions and using a cheaper plastic body.
Even though it's not able to wipe your floors, the Q5 still has some of the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robot at this price. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It also features a smart app that lets you select your floor's type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive with their 2700Pa capacity to tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets as well as hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested did not show a problem with high-pile area carpets and rugs. However, it could not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising as it doesn't contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also features a unique mapping system that lets it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums cannot. This device also is able to collect more dust in a larger bin, so you don't need to empty it as often. Additionally, it has washable filters that further lower the cost of using the device. This robot can also detect carpets and increase suction when needed. The app allows you to mark off areas you want to avoid this is a useful feature.
